Privacy Policy
How createfolders.com handles data, privacy choices, and retention practices.
Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to createfolders.com and explains what data we handle, how we use it, and the choices available to you when you visit or use our site.
What we collect
We design the product to minimize data collection. Data may include:
- Browser/device data typically sent in web requests, such as IP address, user-agent, and referrer.
- Operational state saved in browser storage for usability.
- Clipboard interactions only when you explicitly use copy/paste or copy-link features.
Folder data handling
Folder names, text input, and imported CSV/XLSX/TXT content are processed in your browser. ZIP generation is performed client-side. We do not require account signup, and the app is built so your folder structure content is not uploaded by default.
Analytics and cookies
We do not use advertising cookies in the app code. If analytics is enabled in a deployment, it is intended to be privacy-focused and used only for aggregate traffic measurement and service improvement.
Third-party services and links
- Google Fonts are loaded from Google domains, which may receive standard request metadata.
- Social and sharing links (for example X/Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and email) are opened only when you click them.
How we use data
- Operate and secure the website.
- Maintain preferences and navigation state in your browser.
- Understand aggregate usage trends and improve product reliability.
- Respond to support, privacy, and legal inquiries.
Legal bases (where applicable)
Where required by law, we process data based on legitimate interests (running and securing the service), consent (where obtained), and legal obligations.
Retention
- Browser-session data is typically cleared when the session ends.
- We do not intentionally store your folder-structure content on our servers through core app flows.
US state privacy rights
Depending on your state, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or request details about personal information processing.
We do not sell personal information or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as part of core app flows.
Your choices and rights
- Clear browser storage/site data at any time from your browser settings.
- Disable or block third-party requests through browser/privacy controls.
- Contact us to request access, correction, deletion, or information about personal data handling, where applicable law provides those rights.
Children's privacy
The site is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us and we will address it promptly.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when product features, legal obligations, or operating practices change. The date above reflects the latest revision.
